Forum Discussion
Forum Discussion is basically like Twitter, but more serious and confined to academic discourse only, where learners get the space inside the LMS to post questions, share ideas, and help each other. The purpose is to build a learning community beyond the classroom.
Learning shouldn’t be one-sided, as it brings monotony into the whole process. Thus, the Forum Discussion add-on includes a discussion forum where interactions, confusions, doubts, and exchange of knowledge are encouraged instead of restricting it to solely reading or watching materials. The forum also aims to foster an environment for peer-to-peer learning, active participation, and building a stronger community. Additionally, the instructions can monitor and guide discussions, making the learning sphere more supportive and decorum-oriented. It is one of the best ways to keep learners engaged and improve retention since learners feel connected.
